How to add titles, text and lower thirds

Add titles, lower thirds, captions cards, timers and shapes through chat.

Steps

  1. Describe the graphic in chat: the text, the style, where it goes and when. For example: "Add an elegant title that says 'Ocean Drive Villa' with '4 bed · 3 bath' under it, centered for the first 3 seconds."
  2. Novacut designs the graphic and places it on a graphics lane above the video.
  3. Play it back. Drag the block on the timeline to change when it shows.

More prompts

  • "Add a lower third with my name and title when I first appear."
  • "Put a countdown timer from 10 in the top right."
  • "Make the title bigger and use a bold sans-serif font."
  • "Remove the title."

Tips

  • Graphics are rendered into the MP4. Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Premiere Pro exports don't include them, so recreate titles in your editor if you finish there.
  • For your logo, see How to add a logo or watermark.
