How Novacut finds shots and uses b-roll
Novacut analyzes what's visible in every clip, so you can find and use shots by what they show.
Novacut doesn't only read transcripts. It describes what is visible in every clip, so it can use scenery, products, reactions and other moments where nobody is talking.
Find a shot by what's in it
Ask in chat:
- "Which shots show the white sofas? Put the best one right after the kitchen."
- "Use the close-up of the product when I mention the price."
- "Find the shot where the dog jumps into the water."
Novacut finds the clip and picks the clearest section of it.
Use b-roll
B-roll goes on its own video lane above your main footage, so the narration keeps playing underneath.
- "Put city b-roll over the narration in the middle section."
- "Use more cutaways while I explain the setup."
- "Keep the scenic moments even where nobody is talking."
What to expect
Novacut uses footage you uploaded. It doesn't generate new stock footage. The search box in the Media tab matches file names and what's in your shots, and chat can find shots by content too.
