How to find your video folder path (Windows)
Copy the path of the folder that holds your original videos and images, for editor exports.
Before you start
- Put every video and image you uploaded for this project in one folder. Don’t put them inside other folders.
- You will copy the folder path (not a file path).
- Good: C:\Users\you\Videos\MyProject
- Bad: C:\Users\you\Videos\MyProject\yourvideo.mp4
Windows (File Explorer)
Open File Explorer and go into the folder that holds your video files Use the exact folder where your video and image files are.
Copy as path (recommended)
- Shift+Right‑click the folder → Click “Copy as path”.
- Paste the result into the “Video folder path” field in the app.
- Windows may include quotes, e.g.
"C:\Users\you\Videos\MyProject"— quoted or unquoted is fine.
Address bar method
- Click once in the File Explorer address bar to reveal the full path.
- Copy it and paste into the “Video folder path” field.
- Example: C:\Users\you\Videos\MyProject
PowerShell / Command Prompt
- PowerShell:
(Get-Item .).FullName - CMD:
echo %CD%
- PowerShell:
Important: folder path only (no file names)
- Use the folder path, not a file path.
- Good: C:\Users\you\Videos\MyProject
- Bad: C:\Users\you\Videos\MyProject\yourvideo.mp4
Common pitfalls
- Files inside other folders → Move them into the same folder.
- Moved/renamed folder after export → Keep path stable or re‑export.
- Network shares:
\\SERVER\Share\Folder. Keep drives mounted when importing. - External/network drives → Ensure they’re connected and accessible.
Why we ask for this (optional)
For editor export, we need the absolute path to the folder that contains your video files. Browsers can’t read full disk paths for security, so you must paste it here.
