How to find your video folder path (macOS)

Copy the path of the folder that holds your original videos and images, for editor exports.

Before you start

  • Put every video and image you uploaded for this project in one folder. Don’t put them inside other folders.
  • You will copy the folder path (not a file path).
    • Good: /Users/yourname/Videos/MyProject
    • Bad: /Users/yourname/Videos/MyProject/yourvideo.mp4

macOS (Finder)

  1. Open Finder and go into the folder that holds your video files Use the exact folder where your video and image files are.

  2. Copy File Path from Path Bar (recommended)

    • If you don’t see the Path Bar: Finder → View → Show Path Bar

    • At the bottom Path Bar, right‑click your project folder name → Copy “MyProject” as Pathname.
    • Paste the result into the “Video folder path” field in the app.

  3. Keyboard method (Copy as Pathname)

    • While you’re inside the folder that contains your video files, press Command+Option+C to copy the full folder path.
    • Paste it into the “Video folder path” field.
    • Example: /Users/yourname/Videos/MyProject

Important: folder path only (no file names)

  • Use the folder path, not a file path.
    • Good: /Users/yourname/Videos/MyProject
    • Bad: /Users/yourname/Videos/MyProject/yourvideo.mp4

Common pitfalls

  • Files inside other folders → Move them into the same folder.
  • Moved/renamed folder after export → Keep path stable or re‑export.
  • External/network drives → Ensure they’re connected and accessible.
