Realtor video ideas from one listing shoot

Updated

One 15-minute listing shoot can give you eight realtor videos over the life of the listing: the listing video, a just-listed teaser, a vertical Reel, an open-house version, a price-improved update, an unbranded MLS tour, an under-contract or sold post, and a neighborhood piece. What used to stop agents was re-editing every time the listing changed. Below is each video, when to post it, and the message that makes it from the same footage.

Seven walkthrough clips and an MLS description became a beat-synced listing video. Sped up. Phone-size version.

The just-listed teaser

Fifteen seconds, vertical, made to stop the scroll on listing day: the exterior with "Just listed" and the address, three or four rooms on the beat, and a hold on the best one. From the same project, ask:

Make a 15-second vertical "Just listed" teaser: the exterior with the address, the three best rooms, and end on the kitchen.

Novacut opened on the exterior with "JUST LISTED" and the address on one line, cut three rooms on the beat with their facts, and ended on the kitchen with the new price and the logo:

Tips that make these work

  • Keep the facts accurate as the listing changes: price, open-house time, status.
  • Use the same look across versions so your feed is recognizable.
  • Fair Housing: describe the home and neighborhood amenities, not the people you imagine living there.
  • Ask your seller before posting interior video of an occupied home publicly.

FAQ

What videos should a realtor post for a new listing?

At minimum a listing video, a vertical Reel and a just-listed teaser on day one, then an open-house version and any price updates.

Do I need to reshoot for a price drop?

No. Update the opening card with the new price and repost.

What's a good "sold" video?

A 10–15 second clip with the exterior and a "Sold" or "Under contract" card, plus a thank-you to the sellers if they agree.

Can I use these videos on the MLS?

Use the unbranded version for the MLS virtual tour field; most MLSs prohibit branding there. MLS rules →
